Women's Conference at Freedom Christian Center

Arlene Tanner and her mother Maria Santos Angulo were  invited to speak at the DCFS Parent in Partnership Retreat. Arlene Tanner was also honored to present her mother with a plaque for her outstanding work with the DCFS Parent in Partnership Program.

 

Thursday June 17, 2010

Arlene Tanner and her mother Maria Santos Angulo were invited by the Friends Outside Organization to speak at the Century Regional Detention Center (Women's Correctional Facility) in the City of Lynwood.  Their mission was to help promote and support the efforts of Friends Outside to reunite incarcerated mothers with their children while in foster care through supervised visits on a regular basis.

Easter April 4th, 2010 - Freedom Christian Center of Santa Fe Springs held 5 services on Easter Sunday, April 4th and gave away 750 beautiful Easter baskets to all the children in attendance.  Many families from the local area visited for the first time and were deeply touched by God's love.  

 

Christmas Toy Give-Away Hosted by Freedom Christian center on Saturday, Decemebr 12th, 2010 at Mayberry Park in the city of Whittier.

A total of 9,000 toys were given away, 4,000 people attended and

2,000 people gave their lives to Jesus.  It was a beautiful and awesome sight.

Donations have surged in recent months and we wish to thank all who have contributed so generously to our cause - The Gloria Home for Women and Children fundraiser. .. Let's keep up the good work!

 

Maria Angulo the Founder and Director of the Gloria Home is currently looking for a property to lease or rent so that she may house the women and their children who are on a waiting list.   If you or someone you know is interested in renting their property to this great non- profit organization please contact Alive Again Counseling as soon as possible.
